    Hackaday sent me here and I think that what you are doing is awesome. I also think that making an extruder like this on the 3d printing machine would be even more helpful and effective. Have you tried just the auger with a heated cone(heated to well above the melting temp of the plastic) and just had the auger pushing the pellets through the cone?
